Unforgettable (for whom?) lessons from my 20s!
I really wasn't the wild child that I wanted to be, but I picked up a few nuggets here and there
Move out of your parents’ house ASAP, even though it isn’t common practice in desi families
Men, unfortunately, will always have a problem with commitment (talking strictly about hetero relationships here)
Marvel's success in the 2010s can’t be replicated! (Although hoping for RDJ to do his magic in Doomsday)
You are allowed to let go of chaotic and tumultuous relationships and friendships
Mental health comes before work and relationships
Singlehood isn’t all that bad
Siblings before parents. Siblings are with you for the entire ride.
Find the perfect shade of red lipstick for your skin tone. You don’t need much makeup after that. (Think Moira Rose from Schitt’s Creek)
Success isn’t just the money or designation
Flared, high-waist trousers are a woman's best friend
Find a partner who is more generous than you and wants the absolute best for you
No good comes out of associating with materialistic, narcissistic or self-involved people
Dating apps are trash. They don’t serve the purpose they were meant for
People who make you feel less than aren’t the right kind of people– friends or partners, or family
It’s okay if you don’t stay close to the friends you made in school or college. Because very rarely would you have shared interests that last a lifetime.
Help people. Always
Social media is playing games with your mind. When you realise that you’d delete it and not miss it, and become best friends with all the books that you always wanted to read
What would you say are some of your most important learnings so far?
